O-varnish is a type of resin varnish containing sodium fluoride, xylitol and synthetic resins and a combination of biocompatible solvents, which acts as a single component and creates a film thickness of about 2 micrometers. Due to its special formulation, this product dries quickly and creates a completely integrated layer for all-round protection of the ivory. With one use of O-varnish, you can flood the dentin tubules well.
O-varnish does not contain any chloroform, eugenol and ethyl ether and has a very favorable compatibility with all types of restorative materials such as amalgam and cements. Sealing dentin tubules using O-varnish eliminates or reduces post-operative discomfort caused by cytotoxic substances in common products and also creates a protective layer against secondary caries.
